< 1331 명장들의 모임 >
1월 11일 올해 들어와 처음으로 명장들의 모임을 가졌다. 이날도 부부 모임이라 사랑하는 아내와 함께 멀리 양주로 달려갔다.
명장들의 모임은 각자가 살아가는 공간과 삶의 스타일도 모두 다르지만 우리는 자연스레 하나가 되어 만남의 기쁨이 넓은 바다를 이루고 행복의 파도를 즐기게 한다. 우리는 기쁨을 나누고 행복을 누리지만 이 기쁨과 행복을 더 많은 사람들에게 흘려보내는 것이 우리의 주 목적이다.
배움의 시기에는 어떤 리더을 만나느냐가 상당히 중요하다. 만남의 시간들을 통해 생각, 언어, 행동들까지도 리더의 영향을 받아 리더와 모든 면이 닮아가는 것을 느낄 수 있다.좋은 사람과의 만남 또한 세상을 살아가는 시간동안 많은 영향을 받게 되고 나를 변화시키기도 한다.
각자가 있는 자리에서 최선을 다하고 그래도 그 영역에서는 영향력을 끼치는 사나이들이다. 각자가 살아가는 공간과 삶의 스타일도 모두 다르지만 우리의 대화는 서로를 격려하고 삶의 희로애락을 함께 나누고 함께 기도하는 시간을 갖는다.
이날 모임은 권혁돈 감독이 지난 10년 동안 HBC 유소년 야구팀을 내려놓고 이전에 감독생활 했던 '문경글로벌선진학교' 야구감독으로 부임해 떠나게 되었다. 권혁돈 감독이 문경으로 떠나기전 명장들이 한자리에 모여 송별식을 가졌다. 명장들의 조촐한 파티지만 이날 밤늦은 시간까지 많은 이야기를 나누었다.
이날도 명장들은 지나온 삶과 앞으로 어떻게 삶을 전개해 나갈 것인지에 대해 허심탄회하게 많은 대화를 나누었다. 이번 모임으로 인해 다시 한해를 시작하는 출발점이 되었다. 나는 올 한해도 국내와 동남으로 열심히 달려갈 것이다.
명장들의 모임을 갖게 되면 언제나 시간이 너무 빨리 지나간다. 나는 다시 인천으로 돌아가야 하기 때문에 일어서야 할 시간이 되었다. 김재옥 목사님께서 명장 모임을 위해 축복기도해 주셨다. 끝으로 장종택 목사님께서 매일 성경 암송을 하시는데 우리를 위해 암송하고 있는 귀절을 말씀해 주셨다.
5 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 무릇 사람을 믿으며 육신으로 그의 힘을 삼고 마음이 여호와에게서 떠난 그 사람은 저주를 받을 것이라
6 그는 사막의 떨기나무 같아서 좋은 일이 오는 것을 보지 못하고 광야 간조한 곳, 건건한 땅, 사람이 살지 않는 땅에 살리라
7 그러나 무릇 여호와를 의지하며 여호와를 의뢰하는 그 사람은 복을 받을 것이라
8 그는 물 가에 심어진 나무가 그 뿌리를 강변에 뻗치고 더위가 올지라도 두려워하지 아니하며 그 잎이 청청하며 가무는 해에도 걱정이 없고 결실이 그치지 아니함 같으리라

이제 새롭게 출발하는 권혁돈 감독을 위해 격려해 주고 축복해 주고 싶어 다시 펜을 든다.
권혁돈 감독은 지난 10년 동안 HBC 유소년들을 이끌어 오면서 매년 여러번 우승을 이끌어 올 정도로 뛰어난 능력을 갖춘 지도자다. 앞에서도 이야기 했지만 지도자로서 능력만 좋은 것이 아니라 선수들을 보듬고 사랑으로 이끌어 가는 모습은 같은 야구인으로서도 많이 보며 배우고 있다.
권혁돈감독은 야구명문 서울 신일중.고등학교를 졸업하고 신일 중.고등학교에서 지도자 생활을 시작으로 지난 30년 동안 수많은 선수들을 지도했다.
그는 2026년 1월 1일부터 정식으로 문경에 있는 '글로벌선진학교' 감독으로 부임했다. 돌아오는 1월 17일부터 선수들을 지도한다. 나 또한 권혁돈 감독이 맡고 있는 '글로벌선진학교 문경캠퍼스 야구부에 총감독으로 자주 찾아가 선수들에게 작은 도움을 주려고 한다.
지난번에도 글을 썼지만 권혁돈감독은 자신의 페이스북에 선수들을 지도하면서 몇가지 당부하고 싶은 심정을 글로 썼다.
“우리는 단순히 공을 쫓는 선수가 아니라 말씀을 따라 살아가는 제자를 키웁니다.
글로벌선진학교 야구선수들은 배울 것입니다.
넘어져도 낙심하지 않는 법을.
지는 순간에도 감사하는 법을.
끝까지 믿음으로 최선을 다하는 법을.

권혁돈감독이 이끄는 글로벌선진학교 야구부는 대한민국 야구계를 새로운 패러다임으로 이끌 것이다.
환경에 끌려가는 것이 아닌 환경을 올바르게 주도해 가는 글로벌선진학교 야구부가 될 것이라 믿고 응원한다...

< A meeting of 1331 masters>
On Jan. 11, the couple held a gathering of masters and craftsmen for the first time this year. On the same day, they ran to Yangju with their wife as they were married couples.
The meeting of the masters is different in their spaces and lifestyles, but we naturally become one, allowing the joy of meeting to form a wide sea and enjoy the waves of happiness. We share joy and enjoy happiness, but our main purpose is to let this joy and happiness flow to more people.
In the period of learning, it is very important to know which leader you meet. Through the times of meeting, you can feel that all aspects of the leader are similar to the leader under the influence of the leader even in thoughts, language, and actions. Meeting good people is also influenced a lot during the time of living in the world and changes me.
They are men who do their best where they are and still have influence in that area. Although each person's space and lifestyle are different, our conversations encourage each other, share the joys, sorrows, and prayers together.
The meeting was attended by Kwon Hyuk-don, the head coach of the "Mungyeong Global Advancement School," where he had previously been a manager after putting down the HBC youth baseball team for the past 10 years. Before head coach Kwon Hyuk-don left for Mungyeong, the masters gathered together and held a farewell ceremony. It is a small party of masters, but we talked a lot until late at night.
On this day, the masters had a lot of candid conversations about the past and how to proceed with their lives in the future. This meeting became the starting point for the year to begin again. I will run hard for Korea and the southeast this year.
Time always passes so fast when I have a meeting of masters. It's time to stand up because I have to go back to Incheon. Pastor Kim Jae-ok prayed for a blessing for a meeting of masters. Finally, Pastor Jang Jong-taek recited the Bible every day and told us the recitation for us.
5 This is what the Lord has said: "Those who believe in men, who have made his strength with his flesh, and whose heart has departed from the Lord, will be cursed."

Now, I raise the pen again to encourage and bless coach Kwon Hyuk-don, who is starting anew.
Coach Kwon Hyuk-don is a leader with excellent abilities that has led HBC youth to win several championships every year over the past decade. As I mentioned earlier, I am learning from the same baseball player who not only has good abilities as a leader, but also takes care of the players and leads them to love.
Kwon Hyuk-don graduated from Shinil Middle and High School in Seoul, a prestigious baseball club, and coached numerous players over the past 30 years, starting with his leadership career at Shinil Middle and High School.
He was officially appointed as the head coach of the "Global Advanced School" in Mungyeong from Jan. 1, 2026. He will coach the players from Jan. 17, when he returns. I also frequently visit the 'Global Advanced School Mungyeong Campus Baseball Team', which is headed by Kwon Hyuk-don, as a general manager to give small help to the players.
Although he wrote last time, head coach Kwon Hyuk-don wrote on his Facebook page that he wanted to ask for some things while coaching the players.

The global advanced school baseball team, led by head coach Kwon Hyuk-don, will lead the Korean baseball community to a new paradigm.
