< 메마른 땅에 꽃을 심다 >

드디어 오늘(6일) 헐크파운데이션 스텝진들과 함께 열흘간 인도네시아 자카르타로 들어간다. 비록 길지 않은 기간이지만 이번 행사는 새롭게 재 탄생하기 위해 몸부림 치는 인도네시아 야구협회와 야구 보급을 위해 이들과 함께 협업하며 야구를 보급한다.

이번 행사가 진행하기까지 일선에서 가장 많이 고생한 헐크파운데이션 대외협력부 최홍준 부장은 지난번에도 글로 썼지만 수많은 직책을 소화하고 있다. 캄보디아야구협회 심판위원장, 한국티볼연맹 국제이사, 경기도야구소프트볼협회 대회협력담당관을 맡고 있으며, 해외에 나가면 경기운영위원장, 심판위원장, 코디네이터까지 1인 3역을 감당한다.

이번에도 최홍준 부장은 인도네시아 야구협회와 매일 통화와 이메일을 주고 받으며 비록 짧은 기간이지만 좀더 알차고 보람된 시간을 보내기 위해 끊임 없이 그들과 연락을 주고 받았다.

이번 행사는 7월 6일 인도네시아에 들어가 7월 14일에 한국에 들어오는 스케줄을 짰다. 비록 짧은 9일간의 스케줄이지만 이들 인도네시아 야구협회에서 처음있는 큰 행사라 재인도네시아 대한체육회 와 교민 여러분들의 유례없는 관심을 갖고 많은 준비를 했다고 한다.

지난번에도 글을 썼지만 이번에 주목할 것은 인도네시아 유소년 팀과의 경기가 있다. U12 그리고 U15 경기가 열리고 코리아나 야구 팀과 여자 야구 올스타 경기도 열린다. 거기다가 상당한 실력을 갖추고 있는 코리아나 야구 팀과 남자 야구 U - 18 올스타 경기도 있다. 거기다가 심판 강습회도 열고 있다.

이번에 인도네시아에 들어가 헐크파운데이션 스텝진들이 철저하게 조사해 앞으로 이들과 함께 협업해서 인도네시아 야구협회가 지속적으로 야구하는데 어떤 도움이 필요한지 지금부터 하나씩 준비하려고 한다.

야구 전파는 메마른 땅에 물을 부으면 금세 물이 증발해서 마르는 척박한 땅에 끊임없이 물을 뿌리고 씨앗을 심는 것이며 또한 계란으로 바위치기와 같은 일이다. 그러나 메마른 땅은 언젠가 미세한 물을 품게 되어 생명이 싹틀 수 있는 조건을 만들 것이며, 바위에는 눈에 보이지는 않지만 아주 작은 흠집들이 만들어질 것이다. 나는 인생이 끝날 때까지 그 메마른 땅에 물을 붓는 수고를 기꺼이 할 것이다. 그리고 그 땅에 씨앗을 뿌릴 것이다. 그 씨앗은 단단한 땅을 뚫고 싹이 틀 것이고 열매를 맺을 것임을 나는 믿는다.

Finally, I will fly to Jakarta, Indonesia with the Hulk Foundation staff for 10 days today (June 6). Although it will not be a long time, the event will be held in collaboration with the Indonesian Baseball Association, which is struggling to re-birth, to distribute baseball.

Choi Hong-joon, the head of the Hulk Foundation's external cooperation department, who suffered the most on the front line until this event, wrote it last time, but he has served in numerous positions. He is the chairman of the Cambodian Baseball Association's referee committee, the international director of the Korea T-Ball Federation, and the competition cooperation officer of the Gyeonggi Baseball Softball Association, and when he goes abroad, he will play three roles, including the chairman of the game management committee, the chairman of the referee committee and the coordinator.

Again, Choi Hong-joon exchanged phone calls and emails with the Indonesian Baseball Association every day, constantly communicating with them to have a more fruitful and rewarding time, albeit for a short period.

The event entered Indonesia on July 6 and scheduled to enter Korea on July 14. Although it is a short nine-day schedule, it is the first big event at these Indonesian baseball associations, so they prepared a lot with unprecedented interest from the Korean Sports Council and Korean residents.

As I wrote before, I have a match against the Indonesian youth team. The U12 and U15 games will be held, and the Koreana baseball team and the women's baseball all-star game will also be held. In addition, there are the Koreana baseball team with considerable skills and the men's baseball U-18 All-Star game. In addition, the team is holding a umpire's class.

In Indonesia, Hulk Foundation staff will thoroughly investigate and collaborate with them in the future to prepare one by one for the Indonesian Baseball Association to continue baseball.

Baseball propagation is the constant spraying of water and planting of seeds on barren land where the water evaporates quickly when you pour it into the dry land, and also bouldering with eggs. But the dry land will one day embrace microscopic water, creating conditions for life to sprout, and the rocks will make invisible but tiny scratches. I would gladly take the trouble of pouring water into the dry land until the end of my life. And I would sow seeds in the land. I believe that the seeds will sprout and bear fruit through the hard ground.
