지난 7월 25일 경기도 동두천시에 있는 신흥중,고등 야구장에서 '예강희망키움재단'과 리커버리야구단, 고립, 은둔, 청소년들과 청년에게 유니폼 전달식을 가졌다. 이번 행사는 '푸른고래리커버리센터' 김옥란 대표와 '예강희망키움재단' 박상조 대표는 이날 유니폼 전달식에서 '매년 리커버리야구단이 운동하는데 아무 지장이 없도록 적극적으로 도움을 주겠다'며 약속했다.

'예강희망키움재단'은 이날 전달식을 통해 고립, 은둔의 어려움을 겪고 있는 청년들이 야구를 통해 회복하고, 공동체 안에서 자신감을 갖고 회복해 나갈 수 있도록 도움을 아끼지 않겠다며 박상조 대표가 전했다.

이날 전달식에 '예강희망키움재단' 박상조 대표이사를 비롯해 '푸른고래리커버리센터' 김현일 설립자, 김옥란 센터장과 실무진, 그리고 리커버리야구단 청소년, 청년 약 23명이 함께했다. ‘예강희망키움재단 과 리커버리야구단’은 이번 유니폼 전달식을 시작으로 본격적으로 운영을 시작한다.

재단은 지속적이고 체계적인 프로그램을 통해 고립, 은둔청년들의 정서적, 신체적, 사회적 회복을 지원할 것을 약속했다. 프로그램은 스포츠 활동을 넘어서 훈련, 경기, 멘토링, 대화, 팀 활동을 통해 청소년들이 신뢰를 형성하고 안전한 공동체 안에서 자신의 속도로 회복할 수 있도록 설계됐다.

박상조 대표이사는 이날 격려사를 통해 “오늘 전달한 유니폼은 단순한 운동복이 아닌, 회복과 출발의 상징”이라며 “야구라는 운동을 통해 서로를 믿고 함께 나아가는 경험이, 청년들의 삶에 단단한 자산이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

먼저 우리 청년들을 위해 귀한 시간을 내어주시고 따뜻한 격려의 말씀을 전해주신 박상조 대표님께 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

저는 평생을 그라운드 위에서 살았습니다. 멋진 경기를 하기 위해서는 좋은 선수뿐만 아니라, 묵묵히 팀을 지원하는 훌륭한 구단과 스태프가 반드시 필요합니다.

오늘 저희 '리커버리야구단'은 세상에서 가장 든든한 지원군을 얻었습니다.

저도 리커버리야구단과 함께 달려온 지 어느덧 8년이 되었습니다. 지난 8년간, 저는 리커버리야구단 선수들의 수많은 기적을 보았습니다. 처음에는 서먹하고 자신감 없던 청년들이 동료들과 함께 땀을 흘리며 서로의 이름을 부르고, 하이파이브를 나누는 모습을 보면 제가 오히려 더 큰 힘과 감동을 받았습니다. 여러분과 함께한 시간은 제 야구 인생에 있어 정말 의미 있고 보람된 순간들이었습니다.

이 그라운드는 단순한 경기장이 아니라, 치유와 회복이 일어나는 기적의 공간입니다. 청년들이 쓴 인생의 패배를 맛보면서도 다시 일어서는 모습을 볼 때마다 저는 야구인의 한 사람으로서, 여러분의 선배로서 말할 수 없는 자랑스러움을 느낍니다.

오늘 박상조 대표님께서 전해주신 격려의 말씀은 “우리 청년들에게 '여러분은 혼자가 아니라, 우리와 함께하고 있다'는 가장 큰 응원이 될 것입니다. 그 따뜻한 마음에 힘입어, 우리 청년들이 야구장에서뿐만 아니라 인생이라는 더 큰 무대에서 멋진 홈런을 쳐낼 수 있도록, 저 또한 곁에서 든든한 야구 선배이자 동반자로서 최선을 다해 돕겠습니다. 다시 한번 진심으로 감사드립니다.“

On July 25, a uniform delivery ceremony was held at Shinheung Middle and High School Baseball Stadium in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, with the "Yekang Hope Development Foundation" and the Recovery Baseball Team, isolation, seclusion, youth and young people. At the uniform delivery ceremony, Kim Ok-ran, CEO of the Blue Whale Recovery Center, and Park Sang-jo, CEO of the Yekang Hope Development Foundation, promised, "We will actively help the Recovery Baseball Team so that there is no problem in exercising every year."

CEO Park Sang-jo said, "The Yekang Hope Foundation" will help young people who are suffering from isolation and seclusion recover through baseball and recover with confidence in the community through the delivery ceremony.

The delivery ceremony was attended by Park Sang-jo, CEO of the Yekang Hope Foundation, Kim Hyun-il, founder of the Blue Whale Recovery Center, Kim Ok-ran, director of the center, and working-level staff, as well as about 23 youths and young people from the Recovery Baseball Team. The Yekang Hope Foundation and Recovery Baseball Team will start operation in earnest starting with the uniform delivery ceremony.

The foundation promised to support the emotional, physical, and social recovery of isolated and reclusive youth through continuous and systematic programs. Beyond sports activities, the program is designed to help teenagers build trust and recover at their own pace in a safe community through training, competition, mentoring, conversation and team activities.

CEO Park Sang-jo said in an encouraging speech, "The uniform delivered today is not just a sportswear, but a symbol of recovery and departure," adding, "I hope the experience of trusting each other and moving together through the sport of baseball will be a solid asset for young people's lives."

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to CEO Park Sang-jo for his precious time and warm words of encouragement for our young people.

I have lived on the ground all my life. To have a great game, you need not only good players, but also good clubs and staff who silently support your team.

Today, we, the Recovery Baseball Team, got the most reliable support in the world.

It's already been eight years since I came here with the team. Over the past eight years, I've seen a lot of miracles by the team's players. Seeing young people, who were awkward and insecure at first, sweating together with their colleagues, calling each other's names and sharing high-fives made me feel even more empowered and touched. The time I spent with you was a really meaningful and rewarding moment in my baseball life.

This ground is not just a stadium, but a miraculous space where healing and recovery take place. Whenever I see young people get back on their feet while tasting the defeat of their lives, I feel indescribable pride as a baseball player and as your senior.

The words of encouragement delivered by CEO Park Sang-jo today said, "You are not alone, but you are with us" will be the biggest support to our young people. Thanks to that warm heart, I will also do my best to help them hit great home runs not only at the ballpark but also at the bigger stage of life as a reliable senior and partner in baseball.
