< K-Baseball의 위력 >

평생 한길 야구만 55년 하면서 동남아로 내려가 야구를 전파 한다는 것은 나의 삶에서 상상도 하지 못한 일이다.

2014년 10월말에 SK와이번스 팀에서 나와 낯선 라오스 땅을 밟을 때만 해도 몇달만 재능기부 하고 다시 현장에 복귀하려고 했다.

그랬던 내가 라오스 뿐만 아니라 베트남 그리고 캄보디아와 인도네시아로 내려가 야구를 전파하고 있으니 정말 인생은 알 수가 없다.

지난 11년 동안 한 나라도 감당하기 어렵고 버거운데 또다시 중국으로 들어가 앞으로 최정중 감독이 선수들을 지도하는데에서 어려움이나 팀을 이끌어 가는데 애로사항 그리고 최 감독이 도움을 요청하면 언제라도 중국으로 들어가 작은 힘이나마 보태려고 한다.

오늘(4일) 중세외국인학교 야구부가 창단이 되어 축사하는 영광을 받게 되었다.

그리고 오후에는 전교생 상대로 강연 하기로 되어있다.

어린 학생들이 모국을 떠나
문화가 다른 낯선 곳에 와서 미래의 꿈을 향해 달려가는 어린 학생들에게 작은 힘이나마 돕고 싶다.

지난 55년 동안 한길로 달려오면서 야구를 필요로 하고 또 그들에게 꿈과 희망 그리고 비전을 전할 수 있어 야구인의 한사람으로서 감사할 뿐이다.

존경하는 내빈 여러분 그리고 사랑하는 학생, 학부모, 교직원 여러분 오늘 저는 야구인을 대표로 이 뜻 깊은 '중세외국인학교' 야구부 창단식에 함께 하게 된 것을 매우 기쁘게 생각합니다

먼저 오늘 이자리를 마련하기 위해 물심양면으로 헌신해 주신 이용규 이사장님께 깊은 감사의 말씀을 드립니다. 또한 중세 외국인 학교 25주년을 진심으로 축하드립니다. 우리 학생들이 마음껏 뛰어 놀 수 있는 꿈의 무대를 만들기 위해 여러가지로 지원해주신 학부모님들과 관계자 여러분께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

야구는 단순한 스포츠가 아닙니다. 한 경기의 승패를 넘어 서로를 믿고 협력하여 목표를 향해 함께 나아가는 팀워크의 단체 스포츠입니다. 한두명의 선수로는 결코 이길수 없는 경기가 야구입니다. 그러나 아홉명의 선수 아니 모든 선수들이 마음이 하나로 모일 때 어떤 역경도 이겨낼수 있는 것이 바로 야구입니다.

오늘 창단하는 중세외국인학교 야구부는 바로 그러한 도전과 협동의 정신을 바탕으로 시작 됩니다. 이제부터 여러분은 단순히 공을 던지고 치는 선수가 아니라 학교의 명예를 걸고 지역사회의 꿈과 희망을 함께 짊어지는 주인공들입니다. 그 책임감이 결코 가볍지 않지만 그만큼 여러분의 열정과 땀방울이 더 큰 감동으로 돌아올 것입니다.

사랑하는 선수여러분~
야구는 때로 실수도, 패배도 있는 경기입니다. 하지만 중요한 것은 '포기하지 않는 마음' 그리고 '동료를 향한 마음'입니다. 그 마음을 지켜 나아간다면 오늘의 첫걸음은 머지 않아 우리 중세학교를 대표하는 위대한 발자취로 남게 될 것입니다.

끝으로 중세학교 야구부의 영광스러운 출발을 진심으로 축하드리오며 감독님과 선수들 그리고 모든 관계자 분들의 건강과 무궁한 발전을 기원합니다. 여러분의 젊은 땀과 열정이 우리 중세 학교에 새로운 활력을 불어넣길 기대합니다. 감사합니다...

< The Power of K-Baseball >

It is unimaginable in my life to go down to Southeast Asia and spread baseball by playing baseball for 55 years.

At the end of October 2014, when he came out of the SK Wyverns team and stepped on unfamiliar Laos land, he tried to return to the field after donating his talent for a few months.

However, life is really unknown because I am going down not only to Laos, but also to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia to spread baseball.

In the past 11 years, it has been difficult and difficult for a country to handle, but in the future, Choi Jung-joong will enter China again and lead the team, and if Choi asks for help, he will always go into China and help.

Today (4th) the medieval foreign school baseball team was founded and received the honor of congratulating.

And in the afternoon, I am supposed to give a lecture to the whole school.

Young students leave their home countries
I want to help young students who come to unfamiliar places with different cultures and run toward their future dreams.

I am just grateful as a baseball player to be able to deliver dreams, hopes, and visions to them as I have been running on one path for the past 55 years.

< Address at the Founding Ceremony of the Jungse Foreign School Baseball Team >

Distinguished guests, beloved students, parents, and faculty members, today I am deeply honored to join you as a representative of baseball enthusiasts at this meaningful founding ceremony for the Jungse Foreign School Baseball Team.

First, I extend my deepest gratitude to Chairman Lee Yong-gyu for his unwavering dedication and support in making this occasion possible. I also sincerely congratulate Jungse Foreign School on its 25th anniversary. I sincerely thank the parents and all involved who provided various forms of support to create this dream stage where our students can play freely.

Baseball is not just a sport. It is a team sport of collective effort, where players trust and cooperate with each other to advance toward a common goal, transcending the win or loss of a single game. Baseball is a game that cannot be won by just one or two players. But when all nine players—no, all players—unite as one, baseball is precisely the sport that can overcome any adversity.

The Jungse Foreign School Baseball Club, founded today, begins with this very spirit of challenge and cooperation. From now on, you are not merely players who throw and hit balls; you are protagonists who carry the school's honor and the dreams and hopes of the local community. This responsibility is by no means light, but your passion and sweat will return as even greater inspiration.

Dear players~
Baseball is a game where mistakes and defeats sometimes happen. But what matters most is the ‘heart that never gives up’ and the ‘heart for your teammates’. If you keep that spirit alive, today's first step will soon become a great legacy representing our Jungse School.
