< 세월은 흘러도 추억은 남는다 >

열흘 전에 친구로부터 너무나 귀하고 좋은 영상을 보내주었다. 이른 새벽시간이라 친구가 어떤 영상을 보내 주었는지 궁금해 그자리에서 보았더니 삼성라이온즈 선수 시절인1983년 2월달에 일본으로 전지훈련 가서 찍은 영상이었다. 지금으로부터 40년이 훨씬 넘은 너무나 귀한 영상이다.

이때 삼성라이온즈 입단한지 2년차였고 우리나라 프로야구가 출범한지 2년째였다. 이날 비록 이른 시간이지만 친구가 보내준 영상을 보며 꿈 많았던 26살 삼성라이온즈 시절이 파노라처럼 스쳐지나 갔다.

1982년도에 삼성라이온즈 팀에 입단할 때만 해도 막내로 입단해 많은 선배들로부터 사랑을 받으며 프로야구를 시작했던 기억이 지금도 생생하게 난다. 삼성라이온즈 초대감독은 서영무감독님이 맡으셨다. 거기에 플레잉 코치겸 선수로 활동한 우용득선배님. 고교시절 최고의 투수로 활약을 펼쳤던 임신근코치.

이때만 해도 삼성라이온즈 선수들 이름만 대어도 한국을 대표하는 선수들이 수두룩 했다. 국가대표로 쌍두마차를 이루었던 황규봉투수와 이선희투수 그리고 한국프로야구 최초로 마무리 투수로 활동한 권영호투수..... 거기에 송진우 투수, 성낙수 투수, 박영진 투수, 양일환 투수, 등 쟁쟁한 투수들이 많았다.

그리고 타격의 달인인 장효조 선배, 김한근 선배, 정현발 선배, 함학수 선배, 최고의 수비를 자랑한 배대웅 선배, 천보성 선배, 오대석 선수 서정환 선배 그리고 바람처럼 날라다니는 장태수 선배, 정구왕 선배, 허규옥 선배, 박찬 선배, 김휘욱 선배등 정말 한시대를 풍미했던 선수들이었다. 마지막으로 나와 함께 포수를 맡았던 손상대 선배, 손상득 선배, 박정환 선배가 있었다.

함께 웃고 함께 울었던 선,후배들과 함께 땀 흘리며 훈련했던 시절이 벌써 40년이 훌쩍 넘었다. 삼성라이온즈 창단멘버였던 25명의 스텝진 및 선수들이 벌써 5명이나 이 땅에 없다. 서영무감독님을 비롯해 임신근코치 그리고 황규봉투수와 송진우투수 그리고 정현발 선배가 하늘나라로 먼저 가셨다. 모두 그리운 얼굴들이다.

지금도 영상을 보며 옛날 삼성라이온즈 선수시절의 많은 사연과 추억이 있기에 소중하게 간직하고 있다.

Ten days ago, a friend sent me a very precious and good video. It was early in the morning, so I was curious about what kind of video my friend sent me, and when I saw it on the spot, I went to Japan for a training in February 1983 when I was a Samsung Lions player. It is such a precious video that it has been over 40 years since now.

It was the second year since he joined the Samsung Lions and the second year since the launch of the Korean professional baseball league. Although it was early in the day, the 26-year-old Samsung Lions days, which I had a lot of dreams from watching the video my friend sent me, passed like a panorama.

I still vividly remember that when I joined the Samsung Lions in 1982, I joined the team as the youngest player and started the professional baseball league loved by many senior players. Seo Young-moo was the first manager of the Samsung Lions. Woo Yong-deuk, who was also a playing coach and player, was also a coach for the Samsung Lions. Choi Young-geun, who was the best pitcher during his high school years, was also a coach.

At that time, there were many players representing Korea just by name of the Samsung Lions players. Hwang Kyu-bong and Lee Sun-hee, who were in a double race for the national team, and Kwon Young-ho, who was the first closing pitcher in Korean professional baseball... There were many outstanding pitchers such as Song Jin-woo, Sung Nak-su, Park Young-jin, Yang Il-Whan, etc.

And Jang Hyo-jo, the master of hitting, Kim Han-geun, Jeong Hyeon-bal, Ham Hak-soo, Bae Dae-woong, Chun Bo-sung, Oh Dae-seok player Seo Jung-hwan, and Jang Tae-soo, who flew like the wind, Jung Kyu-ok, Park Chan, and Kim Hwi-wook were really famous players. Finally, there were Sang-dae, Sang-deuk, and Park Jung-hwan, who were catchers with me.

It has been over 40 years since we sweated together with seniors and juniors who laughed and cried together. Five of the 25 staff members and players who were the founding members of the Samsung Lions are not here yet. Coach Seo Young-moo, Pregnancy Keun, pitchers Hwang Kyu-bong, Song Jin-woo, and senior Chung Hyeon-bal passed to heaven first. They are all faces that they miss.

Even now, I still cherish it because I have many stories and memories of my old days as a Samsung Lions player while watching the video.
