< 만수야~ 같이 가자 >

나는 평생 한길로 달려온 사람이다. 현장을 떠난지 벌써 11년이 되었지만 여전히 나는 야구인이고 야구 외길인생 55년째이다. 평생 야구를 통해 그 속에서 인생과 삶을 배우며 인생의 지혜를 얻었고 또 야구를 통해 고통과 좌절 속에서 다시 일어서는 법을 배웠다. 나는 앞으로도 남은 삶을 어떻게 살아가야 할지 야구를 통해 배우게 될 것이다.

하나님께서 우리들 각자에게 주신 재능과 달란트를 누군가를 위해 사용할 수 있다는 것이 얼마나 값지고 소중한 일인지 인생을 살아 갈수록 많이 깨닫고 있다.

요즈음처럼 힘들고 견딜 수 없는 삶이 나의 어깨를 짓누르고 있을 때마다 박정식 원로 목사님이 생각난다. 떠나신지 벌써 3년이 흘렀지만 늘 ‘아직 인생 최고의 순간은 오지 않았다' 라며 어떤 어려움과 난관이 오더라도 절대 포기하지 말라던 목사님의 위로와 격려의 말씀이 귓전을 울린다.

박정식 원로목사님은 언제나 말씀으로 우리들을 가르치시고 삶으로 보이셨던 분이다. 내가 힘들때마다 목사님은 크신 몸으로 나를 두팔로 꼭 안아 주시면서 격려해 주셨다. 목사님은 연약하고 부족한 나에게 무조건 적인 지지와 사랑을 주셨다. '겨울이 지나 봄이 다가올 때 우리들의 인생에도 따스한 봄이 찾아온다'며 나를 격려하고 위로해 주시는 정말 너무나 멋진 멘토셨다. 시간이 많이 지났음에도 불구하고 힘들때마다 언제나 나를 따뜻하게 품어주시며 위로해 주신 목사님이 그립다.

나는 세상이 아무리 나를 짓누르고 나를 힘들게 하더라도 나의 삶이 다하는 그날까지 예수님의 손을 잡고 함께 걸어갈 것이다. 지금도 예수님께서 말씀 하신다. “만수야~ 같이 가자.” 하시며 나의 손을 잡으신다. 예수님은 지쳐 넘어져 아무것도 할 수 없었을 나의 손을 넘어지지 않도록 굳게 잡으셨다.

2017년 1월말에 라오스에서의 야구 보급을 모두 끝내고 한국으로 들어오려고 했는데 그때 이른 새벽에 예수님께서 찾아오셔서 처음으로 “만수야~ 같이 가자”라고 말씀 하셨다. 그렇게 예수님께서 직접 찾아오셔서 연약하고 부족한 나에게 위로의 말씀을 하시며 나의 손을 잡으셨다. 그때의 나의 모습은 어린아이였다. 예수님을 보고 싶었지만 예수님의 엄청난 빛의 광체로 인해 전혀 예수님을 볼 수가 없었다. 단지 내가 알 수 있었던 것은 내가 어린아이로 예수님의 손에 이끌려 함께 걸어갔던 것을 기억한다.

그런데 너무 신기하고 감사한 것은 그 후에 내가 지치고 도저히 일어설 수 없을 때마다 예수님은 여러번 나에게 찾아오셨다. 조용하고 포근한 말씀으로 “만수야~ 같이 가자” 하신다.

내가 아끼고 사랑하는 권혁돈 감독으로부터 동영상 하나가 어제(11일) 저녁시간에 날라왔다. 그것은 권혁돈 감독의 아내가 간증하는 내용이었다. 이른 새벽시간에 권혁돈 감독이 보내준 동영상을 보며 얼마나 많이 눈물을 흘렸는지 모른다.

짧은 8분 짜리 동영상인데 처음부터 끝날 때까지 눈물로 듣지 않고서는 들을 수 없을 정도로 감격스럽고, 은혜스럽고, 마음이 찢어지는 내용이다. 그런 가운데서도 많은 은혜를 받은 영상이다. 영상을 다 듣는데 또다시 예수님께서 나에게 말씀 하신다. “만수야~ 같이 가자”

예수님~ 감사합니다. 연약하고 죄인인 저를 이렇게 사랑해 주시니 감사합니다. 지치고 포기하고 싶을 때마다 예수님께서 찾아오셔서 나를 위로해 주신다. 그러면서 예수님께서 너무나 부드럽게 나의 손을 붙잡고 “만수야~ 같이 가자”... 나의 삶이 다 할 때까지 예수님과 함께 걸어가려고 한다.

7. 너는 가서 기쁨으로 네 식물을 먹고 즐거운 마음으로 네 포도주를 마실찌어다 이는  하나님이 너의 하는 일을 벌써 기쁘게 받으셨음이니라
8. 네 의복을 항상 희게 하며 네 머리에 향기름을 그치지 않게 할찌니라
9. 네 헛된 평생의 모든 날 곧 하나님이 해 아래서 네게 주신 모든 헛된 날에 사랑하는 아내와 함께 즐겁게 살찌어다 이는 네가 일평생에 해 아래서 수고하고 얻은 분복이니라
10. 무릇 네 손이 일을 당하는 대로 힘을 다하여 할찌어다 네가 장차 들어갈 음부에는 일도 없고 계획도 없고 지식도 없고 지혜도 없음이니라

"I have run on the same path all my life. It's already been 11 years since I left the field, but I am still a baseball player and have been a lone baseball player for 55 years. Throughout my life, I learned life and life through baseball, gained wisdom in life, and learned how to get back on my feet amid pain and frustration. I will learn how to live the rest of my life through baseball.

As I live my life, I realize how valuable and precious it is to be able to use the talents and talents God has given each of us for someone.

Whenever a difficult and unbearable life like these days is weighing on my shoulders, I think of the elder Pastor Park Jung-sik. It has been three years since he left, but the pastor's words of consolation and encouragement that he should never give up no matter what difficulties and difficulties arise, always saying, "The best moment of his life has yet to come."

Senior Pastor Park Jung-sik is a person who always taught us with words and seemed to be our lives. Whenever I was having a hard time, the pastor gave me encouragement by holding me tightly in his arms with his big body. The pastor gave unconditional support and love to me, who was weak and lacking. He was a wonderful mentor who encouraged and comforted me, saying, "Warm spring will come to our lives when winter passes and spring approaches." I miss the pastor, who always kept me warm and comforted me whenever I had a hard time, despite the passage of time.

No matter how hard the world weighs on me and gives me a hard time, I will walk with Jesus until the day my life ends. Even now, Jesus still says. "Mansu, let's go together," he says and holds my hand. Jesus held my hand firmly so that I wouldn't fall down because I was tired and couldn't do anything.

At the end of January 2017, I was going to finish all the distribution of baseball in Laos and come to Korea, but at that time, Jesus came to me early in the morning and said for the first time, "Mansu~ Let's go together." So, Jesus came to me in person and comforted me, and held my hand. At that time, I was a child. I wanted to see Jesus, but I couldn't see him at all because of his tremendous light. Just what I could know was that I was a child and I remember walking with him at the hands of Jesus.

But what's so amazing and thankful is that whenever I was exhausted and couldn't stand up, Jesus came to me several times. In quiet and cozy words, he says, "Mansu, let's go together."

A video clip was sent yesterday evening (11th) from director Kwon Hyuk-don, whom I love and cherish. It was testament to the wife of director Kwon Hyuk-don. I don't know how many tears I shed while watching the video that director Kwon Hyuk-don sent me in the early morning hours.

It is a short eight-minute video that is so touching, gracious, and heart-wrenching that you can't hear it without listening to it with tears from the beginning to the end. In the meantime, it is a video that received a lot of grace. While I was listening to the whole video, Jesus said to me again. "Mansu, let's go together."

Jesus~ Thank you. Thank you for loving me as a weak and sinner like this. Whenever I feel tired and want to give up, Jesus comes to me and comforts me. Then, Jesus holds my hand so gently and says, "Mansu~ Let's go together"... I try to walk with him until my life is over.

7. You go and eat your plants with joy and drink your wine with joy because God has already been pleased with what you are doing
8. "and your clothes will be white all the time, and your hair will be fragrant."
9. All the days of your vain life, all the days that God has given you under the sun, will be joyfully fattening with your beloved wife, the blessing you have earned through your hard work under the sun in your life
10. "and your hands will do their best, and you will have no work, no plans, no knowledge, no wisdom, in the future."
