< 한국 야구를 배우러 왔습니다 >

베트남 야구국가대표 선수들이 드디어 오늘 7월 1일 오후 5시 40분에 인천공항에 들어왔다. 야구인의 한사람으로서 얼마나 설레이고 감격스러운 순간인지 모른다. 이날을 위해 몇날 몇일을 설레이는 마음으로 베트남 야구국가대표 선수들을 기다렸다.

야구인의 한사람으로서 동남아에 내려가 라오스에 이어 베트남 야구국가대표 선수들이 한국땅을 밟았다는 사실이 솔직히 믿어지지 않는다. 지금도 이 글을 쓰면서 얼마나 감격스러운지 모른다. 이런 나의 마음을 비교한다면 아마 2005년 시카고 화이트 삭스 팀이 무려 88년 만에 월드시리즈 우승 했을 때 만큼 기쁘다.

지난 11년 동안 인도차이나반도인 라오스와 베트남 그리고 캄보디아로 내려가 야구를 전파할 때 한 나라도 아닌 두 나라를 한국에 초청해 대한민국의 위대한 야구를 이들에게 보여주고 함께 할 수 있을 것이라곤 전혀 예상하지 못했기 때문이다.

비록 짧은 기간이지만 열흘 동안 알찬 훈련 및 경기 그리고 대한민국의 위대한 야구를 직접 관람하면서 한국프로야구가 어떻게 플레이 하고 어떻게 게임하는지 선수들이 직접 경험했으면 한다.

특히 한국프로야구의 흥미롭고 재미있는 응원 문화 및 넓은 그라운드에서 활기차게 뛰어 다니는 프로선수들의 모습을 보며 큰 꿈을 가졌으면 한다.

As one of the baseball players, I honestly can't believe that the Vietnamese national baseball team players, after Laos, stepped on Korean soil after going down to Southeast Asia. I still don't know how thrilled I am to write this article. If I compare my feelings with this, I'm probably as happy as when the Chicago White Sox won the World Series in 88 years in 2005.

For the past 11 years, when they went down to Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia to spread baseball, they never expected to invite two countries, not one, to Korea to show them Korea's great baseball and join them.

Although it is a short period of time, I hope that the players will experience how Korean professional baseball plays and plays while watching Korea's great baseball for 10 days in person.

In particular, I hope you will have a big dream by watching the interesting and fun cheering culture of Korean professional baseball and the active professional players running around on a wide ground.
