< 한사람의 열정이 세상을 바꾼다 >

요즈음 나이가 들면서 깨달은 것은 젊어서 경험하지 못하고 느끼지 못한 많은 일들을 나이가 들고서야 깨닫고 경험하는 일들이 얼마나 많은지... 비록 뒤늦은 감은 있지만 요즈음 하루하루가 너무 즐겁고 행복한 시간을 보내고 있다.

그 중에 하나가 세상을 넓게 바라볼 수 있게 되었고 또 사물이나 사람 그리고 내가 하는 일들을 보더라도 좀더 너그럽게 바라보게 된다는 사실이다. 나이가 들어서 달라진 것을 이야기 하라면 바로 이런 점이다. 젊었을 때는 오로지 눈에 보이는 것이 전부였고 세상을 좀더 넓게 바라보는 눈이 없었다.

이제 김한근 선배가 동남아 라오스 루앙프라방에 야구를 전파하기 위해 들어왔다. 결코 쉽지 않은 결정으로 인해 앞으로 있을 루앙프라방 야구가 많이 기대가 된다. 제목에도 썼듯이 '한사람의 열정이 세상을 바꾸고 있다.' 특히 야구의 불모지인 루앙프라방에 김한근 선배의 야구 사랑으로 인해 야구가 급 성장하리라 나는 믿는다.

선배님은 야구를 사랑하고 라오스 루앙프라방에 야구보급을 위해 남은 삶을 다 받친다는 각오로 라오스 루앙프라방으로 들어왔다. 늘 강조하는 이야기지만 동남아 야구 전파는 빛도 없이 이름도 없이 묵묵하게 걸어가는 김한근 선배님 같은 분이 있기에 가능한 일이다.

오래전에도 글을 썼지만 알버트 아인슈타인이 했던 말 중에서 “오래 살게 되어도 늙지는 마십시오“ “우리가 태어나게 된 위대한 신비 앞에서“ “호기심으로 가득 찬 아이들처럼 살아가십시오“ “이 세상을 살아갈 때 언제나 호기심을 갖고 살아가라”는 아인슈타인의 말처럼 김한근 선배는 나이가 들어서도 언제나 호기심을 갖고 젊은이들처럼 설레이는 마음으로 하루하루 살아가고 있다.

선배님과 이야기 나누다보면 나이가 들면 가장 두려운 것이 빠르게 변해가는 세상의 흐름을 제대로 대응하지 못하면 어떻게 하나 하는 불안감이 있다고 한다. 하지만 젊은 아들에게 빠르게 변해가는 세상에서 뒤쳐지지 않으려고 날마다 배우며 노력하고 있단다. 선배님은 그런것에 두려워하거나 피해서는 안 된다며 시간이 날때마다 젊은이들과 함께 어울리며 배워가고 있다.

선배님은 멘탈 1기생 답게 아무리 힘들고 어려운 일이 있더라도 사물을 힘들게 바라보지 않고 언제나 해 낼 수 있다는 생각을 갖고 시작하는 스타일이다.

앞으로 손사랑 대표와 함께 야구를 하면서 선배님이 갖고 있는 노하우들을 모두 전수한다는 자세로 라오스 루앙프라방으로 들어왔다. 비록 짧은 기간일지 모르나 손사랑 대표가 혼자서도 충분히 젊은 선수들을 가르칠 수 있도록 선배님이 갖고 있는 모든 지혜를 총동원해서 다 전수한단다.

야구는 공부와 달라 많은 시간이 소요된다. 지금부터 손사랑 대표가 인내를 갖고 하나씩 배워 나가야 한다. 김한근 선배는 손사랑 대표가 올바른 방향으로 갈 수 있도록 조언하고 가르칠 것이다.

김한근 선배는 남들이 가지 않는 길을 홀로 달려가고 있다. 새로운 일을 도전하고 다시 하나부터 시작하는 일은 결코 쉬운 일이 아니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 선배님은 두려워하지 않고 손사랑 대표와 함께 미지의 세계를 달려가고 있다.

선배님이 이렇게 할 수 있었던 원동력은 야구에 대한 '열정과 사랑' 때문이다.

As I get older these days, what I realize is how many things I haven't experienced in my youth and I haven't experienced until I get older and I realize and experience many things that I haven't felt... Although I'm a little late, I'm having such a pleasant and happy time every day these days.

One of them is that I can look at the world broadly, and even when I look at things, people, and what I do, I look at it more generously. This is the point of talking about what has changed with age. When I was young, all I could see was what I could see, and I didn't have an eye for the world more broadly.

Now, Kim Han-geun has entered Luang Prabang in Laos, Southeast Asia to spread baseball. Due to the never-easy decision, I am looking forward to Luang Prabang baseball in the future. As the title said, "One person's passion is changing the world." In particular, I believe that baseball will grow rapidly due to Kim Han-geun's love for baseball in Luang Prabang, a barren place of baseball.

The senior came to Luang Prabang in Laos with the determination to support the rest of his life to distribute baseball to Luang Prabang in Laos. As I always emphasize, the spread of baseball in Southeast Asia is possible because there is someone like Kim Han-geun who walks silently without light or name.

I wrote a long time ago, but as Albert Einstein said, "Don't get old even if you live a long time," "In front of the great mystery we were born with," "Live like children full of curiosity," and "Always live with curiosity when you live in this world," Kim Han-geun is always living with curiosity and excitement like young people even when he is old.

When I talk with my senior, I hear that the thing I fear most when I get older is what I do if I fail to properly respond to the rapidly changing trend of the world. However, I am trying every day to learn not to fall behind in a fast-changing world for my young son. He says, "I should not be afraid of such things or avoid them," so I am learning by hanging out with young people whenever I have time.

Like the first-year mental student, the senior starts with the idea that no matter how hard and difficult things are, he can always do it without looking at things.
In the future, he came to Luang Prabang in Laos with the attitude of transferring all the know-how he has while playing baseball with CEO Son Sa-rang. Although it may be a short period of time, CEO Son Sa-rang will pass on all his wisdom so that he can teach young players on his own.

Baseball takes a lot of time, unlike studying. From now on, CEO Son Sa-rang should be patient and learn one by one. Senior Kim Han-geun will advise and teach CEO Son Sa-rang to go in the right direction.

Kim Han-geun is running alone on a path that no one else takes. It is never easy to challenge new things and start from scratch. Nevertheless, the senior is not afraid and is running through the unknown world with CEO Son Sa-rang.

The driving force behind the senior's ability to do this is his "passion and love" for baseball.
