2025년도는 나의 삶에서 다사다난 했던 한해였다. 그리고 올해 만큼 많은 일을 한것도 없는 한해였다. 새해 출발할 때부터 참 힘든 일들이 많이 있었다. 과연 한해를 잘 넘길 수 있을지? 많은 염려와 힘든 일 속에서 출발했다. 그럼에도 불구하고 다른 어느해보다 많은 일을 했던 것이 2025년도였다.

정말 인간으로서 아이러니한 일이 아닐 수 없다. 올 한해 시작할 때 나 나름대로 계획했던 9가지가 있었다. 그런데 놀랍게도 그 많은 가운데에서 무려 7가지를 성공리에 잘 마칠 수 있어 감사하다.

새해 첫 출발할 때부터 많은 계획들을 세웠지만 나의 삶에서 폭풍 같은 일이 발생해 과연 내가 계획했던 일을 한가지라도 할 수 있을지 솔직히 자신이 없었다. 그렇게 시작했던 것이 기적적으로 7가지를 성공리에 잘 마칠 수 있어 감사하고 또 감사하다.

앞에서도 이야기 했지만 올해 여러가지로 힘든 상황속에서도 기적적인 일들을 많이 이룬것을 보면 다가오는 2026년도에도 생각지도 않은 또다른 기적들이 나타날 것이라 기대가 된다. 벌써부터 기대가 되어 마음이 흥분이 된다. 야구인생 지난 55년 동안 비록 현실은 힘들고 어려웠지만 나의 인생철학인 'Never ever give up'의 마음으로 포기하지 않고 달려간다면 다가오는 새해에도 어떤 어려움과 역경도 반드시 해쳐나갈 것이라 믿는다.

2025년도를 되돌아 보면 여러가지 어려움 속에서도 인도네시아와 중국 '중세외국인학교' 야구부 창단은 나의 삶에서 절대 잊을 수 없을 것이다. 거기다가 나의 기쁨을 배로 했던 것이 지난 12월초에 태국에서 열렸던 'SEA GAME'에서 베트남 야구국가대표 야구팀이 첫승했을 때의 감격은 지금도 잊을 수 없다. 모든것들이 다 불가능할 것 같았던 베트남 야구가 이번 '시게임'에서 말레이지아 팀 상대로 첫승을 올렸다는 것은 앞으로 베트남 야구가 동남아뿐만 아니라 아시아 그리고 세계 무대에서 베트남 야구의 위상이 높아질 것이라는 기대를 품게 된다.

또 한가지는 지난 12월 22일에 열렸던 '이만수 포수상 및 홈런상' 도 어느덧 9회가 되었다. 정말 어제 열렸던 '이만수 포수상 및 홈런상'이 9회가 되었다는 사실에 야구인의 한사람으로서 얼마나 감격스러웠는지 모른다. 9년이란 세월이 흘러서 그런지 그들이 프로야구 각 팀에서 주축이 되어 팀을 이끌어 가고 또 대한민국 국가대표선수로 국위선양을 하고 있다.

야구 때문에 지난 55년 넘게 많은 사람들에게 사랑을 받았고, 그 사랑을 라오스와 베트남 그리고 캄보디아와 인도네시아 마지막으로 중국에 작으나마 야구를 전파할 수 있어 야구인의 한사람으로서 보람을 갖는다.

늘 묵묵하게 자기 일보다 라오스와 베트남 그리고 캄보디아와 인도네시아 다시 시작한 중국 야구까지 자기 일처럼 헌신하고 봉사하는 스텝진들과 또 이름 없이 빛도 없이 함께 기꺼이 자기희생을 기쁨으로 받아드린 모든 분들에게 이 자리를 빌어 다시 한번 머리숙여 감사의 인사를 드린다.

야구 때문에 지난 55년 넘게 많은 사람들에게 사랑을 받았고, 야구 때문에 라오스나 베트남 그리고 캄보디아와 인도네시아 마지막으로 중국까지 젊은이들에게 다가갈 수 있어 야구인의 한사람으로서 항상 감사하다.

올 한해인 2025년은 이제 우리들의 삶에서 영원히 사라지지만 앞으로 다가올 2026년은 2025년도의 어려움을 견뎌낸 힘으로 다시 새힘을 얻어 하나부터 시작하려고 한다.

2025 was an eventful year in my life. And it was a year when I didn't do as much as this year. Since the beginning of the new year, there have been many difficulties. Will the year go through well? I started with a lot of worry and hard work. Nevertheless, I did more work in 2025 than any other year.

It is ironic as a human being. At the beginning of this year, I had nine plans. Surprisingly, I am grateful to have been able to complete 7 successfully out of all of them.

I have made many plans since the first start of the new year, but I was honestly not sure if I could do even one thing I had planned because of a storm in my life. I am grateful and grateful that I was able to miraculously complete seven things successfully.

As mentioned earlier, I am excited that another unexpected miracle will appear in 2026, given that many miraculous things have been achieved this year despite various difficult situations. I am already excited to see it. Although the reality of baseball life has been difficult and difficult for the past 55 years, I believe that if I do not give up and run with the mind of my life philosophy, Never give up, I will surely overcome any difficulties and adversities in the upcoming new year.

Looking back on 2025, I will never forget the founding of the baseball team of Indonesia and China's "Medieval Foreign School" in my life despite various difficulties. In addition, I can't forget the emotion of the Vietnamese national baseball team's first victory at the SEA GAME held in Thailand in early December. The fact that Vietnamese baseball, which seemed to be impossible everything, won its first victory against the Malaysian team in the "Shigeim" raises expectations that Vietnamese baseball will raise its status not only in Southeast Asia, but also in Asia and the world.

Another thing is that the Lee Man-soo Catcher and Home Run Awards, which were held on December 22, are already in the 9th inning. I don't know how impressed I was as a baseball player that the Lee Man-soo Catcher and Home Run Awards, which were held yesterday, became the 9th inning. Since nine years have passed, they are leading the team in each professional baseball team and promoting national prestige as a national player of the Republic of Korea.

Because of baseball, it has been loved by many people over the past 55 years, and it is rewarding as a baseball player to spread baseball to Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia, and finally to China.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff members who have devoted and served their lives as if they were their work, and who were willing to accept their sacrifice with joy without a name or light, rather than their work.

Because of baseball, it has been loved by many people over the past 55 years, and because of baseball, it is possible to reach young people from Laos and Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia, and finally to China, so I am always grateful as a baseball player.

This year, 2025, will now disappear from our lives forever, but 2026 will start from scratch with the strength of enduring the difficulties of 2025.
